| 内容記述 | The current study takes a theoretical approach to the analysis of "Ee, Sodesu" in reply to an Yes, No question, such as "Are you a student?" In the previous literatures, the structure of "Ee, sodesu" has been only descriptively explained. In this paper, I will demonstrate that one cannot reply with "Ee, sodesu" in the following two cases : (1) the question form "A wa B ka" (a) B is an non-NP. B receives the focus as its conversationl effect. (2) the question form "A ga B ka" (b) B is an non-NP. A receives the focus as its conversational effect. | |||||
