Assuming that the function of repetitive -teiru is to transform a 1-dimentional entity into a 0-dimentional one as the functions of other -teiru such as progressive(See Iwamoto [2001] ) and resultative, I will demonstrate how the repetitive interpretations are yielded by the principles of conceptual computation on the conceptual structures that incorporate the atomic aspectual features, rules of construal and structure preserving binding proposed by Jackendoff (1991,1996). Dividing the repetitive interpretations of -teiru into two types ( "single period repetition," "plural period repetition" ), I will suggest that the former interpretation is yielded by the aid of the rules of construal when neither progressive nor resultative interpretation is possible, and that the latter is yielded by lexical elements which suggest plural events such as "mainichi(everyday)" and "yoku(often)."}, pages = {55--79}, title = {テイルの反復解釈について}, volume = {9}, year = {2003} }
