The research was conducted by interviews of children who have been living in Japan immersed in the Japanese society, and have a lot of opportunities to speak the Japanese language. The data from these interviews, with both foreign and Japanese children was analyzed in terms of the frequency and quality of the use of the subjective expressions. The results are as follows : (1) The foreign children who speak Japanese fluently can't use subjective expressions as adequately as the Japanese children whose native language is Japanese.
