It also includes their interpretations and their resulting implications. This paper will deal with three types of NP/PP+WA. It will also argue that the scope and target of negation and the interpretation of sentences are determined depending on the type of WA and the context. The rules argued in this paper are as follows : (1) Thematic NP/PP+WA is outside the scope of NEG. (2) This thematic NP/PP+WA may denote the meaning of the "contrastive theme." The latter is also outside the scope of NEG. Here, the meaning is implicated by the WA-phrase in the sentence which can only be interpreted correctly in context. (3) Contrastive NP/PP+WA is inside the scope of NEG. In this instance, there are two possible interpretations : NP/PP-reading and VP-reading.}, pages = {99--113}, title = {「は」と否定のスコープ・否定の焦点}, volume = {2}, year = {1996} }
